Bridging the gap

The Financial Literacy program at Beyond Our Kin addresses a critical gap in education for foster youth, offering them the knowledge and tools to manage their finances effectively. This initiative is designed to provide foster youth with a strong foundation in financial literacy, covering essential topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, and understanding credit. In partnership with the Grant Cardone Foundation, we've developed a fun, interactive, and relatable workshop program that demystifies financial concepts and promotes a mindset of financial success.

Practical Lessons

Our curriculum includes practical lessons on finance, savings (including opening savings accounts for youth), networking, building confidence, career planning, and entrepreneurship. By navigating the fundamentals of personal finance, our program aims to prepare foster youth for self-sufficient living, equipping them with the skills to make informed financial decisions and thrive in their journey to adulthood.

Join and Support our Financial Literacy program

Empower foster youth with the gift of financial literacy. Whether you can provide financial support, volunteer as a workshop facilitator, or offer internships to apply their skills, your involvement is invaluable. Join us in building a financially savvy future for foster youth.

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the Beyond Our Kin Foundation. It has been an amazing experience helping you put together fun activities and workshops for other foster youth. Events that help youth and volunteers feel supported by ensuring they have things that they need to feel like they belong and can succeed in doing anything they put their mind to. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of the support system that you have created through the foundation. I appreciate everything Beyond Our Kin has done and continue to do to support youth from the foster system.
