Did you know there are over 400,000 Foster Youth in the USA and 33,000 in Los Angeles alone? The need for support has never been more urgent. At Beyond Our Kin, we have established transitional support programs available to ensure Foster Youth have everything they need to thrive. These programs have reached over 200 youth to date with everything from art therapy to financial literacy training, and that’s not the end. With 50% of aged-out foster youth experiencing high unemployment rates and higher rates of facing immediate homelessness, we have been working hard with our incredible partners to establish job training and open the door to new career opportunities.
